RECEIVING THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

God loves you and wants to make you right with Himself as a free gift.

The question is, do you want to receive it?

     Jesus, God the Son in the flesh (see John 1:1-14), was punished for all of your sins and physically rose from the dead to make you righteous:

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21

      In order to become righteous and receive eternal life, you need to believe in Jesus:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

John 5:24

      If you would like a simple guide to help you receive salvation, pray the following prayer:

Heavenly Father,

     I believe You sent Jesus to die for all of my sins on the cross, and I believe You raised Him from the dead to make me righteous (see Rom. 4:25). I receive Your forgiveness and the gift of righteousness. I receive the Lord Jesus as my personal Saviour (see John 1:12).

     Thank You for accepting me and making me one of Your immortal children—a new creation in Christ (see 2 Cor. 5:17). Thank You for forgiving all of my sins and making me righteous (see Eph. 1:7; 4:24). Fill me with the Holy Spirit and lead me into all truth (see Eph. 5:18; John 16:13).
